Synopsis

Jevons’s practice as a counsel is versatile and covers many different and diversified areas in civil, criminal litigation and arbitration, including construction disputes, personal injuries, contractual disputes, shareholders’ disputes, landed property disputes, tenancy disputes, building management matters, winding-up proceedings, probate matters, matrimonial and custody matters, equity and trust, stamp duty matters etc.

 

Jevons has appeared as in all level of courts including the Court of Final Appeal and arbitral tribunals, both as a sole advocate and as a led-counsel.  He is capable of conducting trial and making submissions in Chinese and English, with fluent command of Putonghua as well.  Jevons also has experience in handling various interlocutory applications including injunctions, striking out, summary judgment, discovery and joinder applications etc.  He also has extensive experience in handling cases in the HKU Legal Clinic, including criminal appeal to Court of Appeal and the Court of Final Appeal.

 

Jevons started his practice at the Bar after completing his pupillage with Mr. Kumar Ramanathan SC, Mr. Yeung Ming Tai, Mr. Stanley Siu and Mr. Douglas Kwok.  He accepts instructions in all arears of civil and criminal works.
